Fire Statistics 2006

Published by The Department for Communities and Local Government in August 2007, the report provides statistics on fires and false alarms attended by the fire and rescue service throughout the UK.

• In the year ending 30th September 2006, Fire and Rescue Services in the UK attended almost 876,300 fires or false alarms, up slightly on the previous year. In England, there was a 1% fall with a total of 695,000 fires or false alarms in the same period.
